From the hotel, the journey continues through the estate and down the steps towards one of Mauritius's most atmospheric historic settings.
With every step, the Ruins of Balaclava begin to emerge.
Dating from the 18th century, these preserved stone structures form part of Mauritius's national heritage. Surrounded by tropical vegetation and the sounds of the nearby Citron River, they create a setting with a character entirely of its own.
Then, on the lawn before the ruins, The Orangeraie is revealed.

Created and presented by Impact Production Group, The Orangeraie is an impressive 800 m² event structure positioned directly in front of the historic Ruins of Balaclava.
Its generous proportions and glass façades allow it to sit naturally within the landscape while providing a protected, elegant and highly adaptable space for events.
By day, the venue opens visually onto its historic surroundings.
By night, lighting, projections and creative production can transform it completely.

ENQUIRIES, VISITS & RESERVATIONS
IPG and Maritim jointly coordinate availability through a shared calendar: submit your enquiry, confirm availability, arrange a private site visit, then receive your proposal and booking terms.
A transparent roof, décor, furniture, expanded technical production, lighting, sound and other event services are available at an additional cost and quoted according to your requirements. Responsibilities involving external suppliers, including DJs and entertainment providers, will be confirmed for each event.
Certain operational details are still being finalised. All confirmed inclusions, conditions and responsibilities will be set out clearly in the final proposal and client agreement.
